Why Your Numbers Matter

It's not that you're bad with numbers. Nobody taught you this part.

The four stories

"I'm not a numbers person." That's a gap in training, not a personality trait.
"That's what I pay my accountant for." Your accountant files your taxes and manages your books. They don't run your business.
"I just need more clients." If your margins are wrong, more clients means more of the same problem.
"I'll figure it out when I get bigger." The businesses that get bigger are the ones that figure it out first.
